Jagua Art

Some people might ask, what is Jagua art?
Well, jagua art is a lot like another temporary tattoo form called 'Henna' which is practiced in many areas of the world. Such 'temporary tattoos' are a mix between what you see in bubble gum wrappers to the permanent ink that adorns many 'painted' bodies.

Jagua art is particularly attractive because of the realistic nature of the look. Henna many times has a brownish tint to it which is not as authentic as the jagua art which allows for a more authentic black appearance.

As with henna tattoos, jagua art lasts for weeks. For thousands of years jagua art has graced Central and South Americans originally thought to be for fertility enhancement. Jagua art is created by using the extract of the jagua fruit mixed with other chemicals. This 'paint' is highly prized and is actually available on the markets today.
